V6 coil packs - lost two at 39,000 miles

Just made it under the 4 year warranty window. Cylinders 1 and 5 replaced today.

If I understand Porsches' recommendation you need to replace ALL coil packs at once.

You are correct - but Porsche will only pay for coil packs that "test" bad.

They do have a high failure rate and it's best to replace them all and spark plugs at the same time with the updated parts.

Got the quote from Sunset, Jeff is great. Parts ordered and on the way, perfect timing given that the plugs are due now anyway.
