I have searched a lot but no luck getting full report like carfax or AA in the UK

i can run VIN decoder which shows basic details but i require full report

please paste links if you know any.....

VIN: WP1ZZZ9PZ4LA81586

Contributing Members can get their car's factory options but only Carfax (or some company like that can look at legal records - which are different in different countries).

Build date is very often in the year before the model year.
Porsche starts building the next model year in July each year. So production of MY2010 will begin next month.

Look on the drivers door for Porsche sticker - in the top right corner of the sticker is your build date (not necessarily your model year).

so what i understand is that if build date is later than June 2004 then it can or cannot be 2005 model?
so how do i find if build date is after June 04 and is 2005 model or not?

when did Porsche update parts and software, i simply do not want to buy anything which has common faults like vibration, coolant pipes, driver shaft etc?

Thanks Loren for your continues help :)

No, just the opposite - if the build date on the door is say 8/04 then the model is a MY05.
If the build date on the door is 6/04 then it is most likely a MY04.

I own a MY99 Carrera - my door sticker says 5/99. In July of 1999 Porsche started building MY2000 cars.

cheers Loren, just to make it clear, if build date is 8/04 and 10th character on VIN is "4" then its a MY05 model?

No, that would not make sense - but then we occasionally see a car with mismatched VIN and build dates. I've seen two like this and both were made in 2003 and 2004.
