Just bought '01 TT and was wondering what this option code was. I have deciphered all the other codes except this one. The car is a CPO car and the fron 3 grill inlets are painted silver (factory), maybe this is what the code is. I got a copy of the pro forma from the dealer and 896 code is not on it.

Thanks,
JB :help:

Are you sure it is not 696 - CD-RADIO "PORSCHE CDR 220"?

Yes it is 896. It does have codes 680 and 692 but the last code is 896. On another forum a member said not all codes have meaning they may be internal codes for standard equipment? The car does have body colored front grill inlets and the dealer said it was factory, maybe that it?

JB,

I agree it is probably an internal code. On my 2002 Turbo there was option 554 which no one could find either.

Suncoast Porsche said it was probably because of the many different options my car had -- that when they combine them there is a code to clarify the way the options are combined because otherwise you could not have both options at the same time.
