  1. I phoned the local Porsche dealership to inquire about the Optical Waveguide and provided them with the information on what currently existed in the car. I told them I had the CDR-23 in the dash and the amp (bose system) in the back side compartment. I told them everything was back there (bracket, power) except gor the CDC-4. I told them I had the CDC-4 that I purchased from another source. The parts salesman said I needed an optical waveguide and a connector. I told him I should just be able to take the optial waveguide and connect it to the amp above the CDC and then run it to the CDC. He said that I had to remove the side panel and passenger seat to run an optical cable from the rear compartment to the CDR-24 radio in the front dash. Does this sound correct? Thank you.
  2. Thank you for the diagram. I bought the CDC-4 from ebay and it did not have a kit with it. Behind the passenger side rear compartment I have the amplifier and CD holder already in place. Looks like I need to purchase items M, N, H and K from the diagram and figure out how to wire the CDC-4 to the amp.
  3. I have the CDR-23, bose, amp, no phone, no CD changer except for the single slot built into the CDR-23 in the dash. Thank you.
  4. I have a 2003 Porsche Cayenne S without a CD Changer. In the side panel is a power connection but no fiber optical connector. I purchased a CDC-4 and plugged the power connector and have power to the unit. Question is if I purchase an optical waveguide cd changer to booster cable (955 642 304 00) can I unplug the optical ones I see going into the amplifier above the CDC bracket and plug the CDC-4 into the loop somehow? Any advice would greatly be appreciated.
  5. Update - went to dealer yesterday for another issue and had them try to program the puddle lights. They said their system is not communicating with a module so they would need to diagnose further. Does anyone know what module the mirror puddle lights would be part of? Thank you.
  6. I have been trying to resolve the side mirror puddle light issue for several weeks with no luck. I even ordered new lights and replaced the old ones with no luck. Everything else as far as the headlights, side lights, license plate lights works as they should when I lock or unlock the car so I am stuck. I have checked fuses, tested it at night so it is not a sensor issue, comfort settings are checked but I don't see any settings specific to mirtor lights though. I have read somewhere that the puddle lights have to be programmed to work via PIWIS at a dealership. If that is the case, I was wondering if the Durametric enthusiast or pro would work for that purpose...may be cheaper in the long run to do it myself and have a nice diagnostic tool out of the deal. I appreciate any advice/input.
