  1. Hi Florida2002m3, Just wondering if you have found a solution to the mechanical door issue that you were having? My 05 S's diriver's door handle won't open from the exterior; I suspect that the internal linkages are worn out. Do you have the steps that you used to get to the lock? I'm hoping that you didn't have to remove the door panel, but just the plugs on the end of the door. Thanks, Artic99
  2. Hi Kent, I have a question on the inner CV joints. I'm replacing with new, and am worndering if there is an orientation for how the joint fits on the axle? Is there an exterior vs. interior side to the joint i.e. wheel side vs. transmission side? Thanks for the help. Phil
  3. I'm in the process of replacing the clutch on a '99 artic silver 5 sp. (2.5L); the front main bearing of the transmission is destroyed and needs to be replaced. I have the new bearing - what's the best way to remove the old bearing? Anyone addressed this issue? Suncoast is telling me the bearing is accessable from the front - I've already pulled the snap ring out. Use a hammer type bearing puller? Thanks in advance, Phil
  4. Does it matter? I just did the same project - they look both the same to me.....
  5. @Artic99 Hi smak, I've got the same issue on a 99 boxster as/blk - uses the same lock as the 911. Do you have any instructions for taking out the lock cylinder and the spring, plate and cam that stick out behind it, in order to swap it for a used (working version)? Thanks, Phil
  6. Hi Everyone, Does anyone know how to change out a driver's door lock cylinder? The key won't work (and lock or unlock) the driver's door - it just spins in the lock. It appears that the cylinder has broken from the cam that sticks out behind it to turn and activate the electronic lock. I have removed the door panel and have the handle support with lock cylinder removed in my 99 artic silver. I can buy the support handle (with a cylinder and cam) from a dismantler, but don't see how to disassemble that part of the handle and swap in my already keyed cylinder. Has anyone had this issue and done this repair? Thanks, Phil in Chicago. Boxster Lock.docx
  7. Has anyone had an issue with the coolant piping leaking under the manifold? Dealer is claiming that the existing pipes are plastic and need to be replaced with aluminum ones. Could this be a DIY project? Artic99 05 Cayenne S Blk, Blk
  8. Is there anywhere to source the circuit board only - I've got a new case, pill, cut key blade, but my circuit board is fried....
