  1. Hi Slip! How did your conversion go? How did you wire it eventually? Any dash lights? I was thinking for the non-Turbo DRL, there are 2 modes, day or night. I would want to find the pins that work the night mode and use them on the Turbo DRL. As such, the Turbo DRL should be on all the time? Please share how you did it. Sprint.
  2. Fuel pump or high pressure fuel pump? One is for tank, the other for DFI?
  3. Yes, it's a 2010 997 TT. PET calls it 997T2? Anyway, I unplug the fuel pump control unit and same symptoms but no error codes. I plug it back in and same symptoms with P1284 code. Is it a bad fuel pump control unit? Do they go back? Took it apart. No moisture or anything...
  4. The 997T2 has been running well till this morning. It would fire up but after 3 to 5 seconds, the engine would sputter to a halt. When cranked up again, it fires up perfectly, only to sputter and die 3 to 5 seconds later. I pulled out a P1284 code from DME. It says "Fuel Pump, electrical". Do you know how to rectify this? Is this the fuel tank pump or high pressure pump for DFI? Sprint.
  5. How did you make your own faces? Do they light up with backlight? I'd like to learn. Please teach! :-) Sprint.
  6. Hello All, My 2002 C4 has a rattling noise that is driving me nuts. It seems temp related. On hot days, no sound, but cooler nights, the rattling comes on from low rpms. It's like a resonance sound. Oddly, I thought it was from the left (RHD car) but my brother sitting on the passenger side said it's from the right. We swapped drivers and hey... He was right as well! Driver hears it coming from left and passenger hears it from right. And only when cold weather! Anyone had this before? Any simple fix before I tear into the dash? Thanks! Sprint.
  7. Ok, I searched with no luck. I have a '02 C4. Door was perfect till 3 months ago. After unlocking, it sometimes needed 2 pulls to open. First pull, window drops a tad but door no open. 2nd pull, window drops again and then presto! Door opens. Of late, even with 2 pulls, the windows drop as usual but door doesn't open. I try to pull a few more times without success What I realize is that when I thump on the door close to the handle, the door opens prefectly! What is happening? I feel quite like a mad man hitting on my door before opening it. Help! Sprint.
  8. Hi All! I have trouble calibrating a PDK trans. I get abort codes 03 & 22. Also P1872 error code. Can you help me ask your tech what it means? I'm on PIWIS Tester V32. The car was flooded and the PDK module (among others) was fried so I installed a new one, hence need for calibration. Also, I couldn't get hold of PDK fluid (FFL-3) initially so I used DSG fluid (FFL-2) first to flush. Will that affect things? Thanks and have a good day! Sprint.
  9. Hi All! My cupholder flap broke and while I bought a new piece, I can't figure out to get the old one out. Anyone got a tutorial for it? Also, same case with electric front/rear boot release. The pivot for the front switch broke. Bought a new one and hoping someone can guide me to replace it. Thanks and have a good day ahead! Sprint.
  10. Hi All! I was looking thru PET and found a part with no description. See pic. It is number 5 and when I pick on it, I get a message saying "Part number unknown" Anyone any idea what it is? Sprint.
  11. Also, if it helps any, when doing vehicle handover, it displays "PROTECT" initially, then enters "SERVICE" mode and I get a message "PCM woken up successfully". I feel happy for a sec then crestfallen when it says "PROTECT" again! Grrr... Sprint.
  12. I did that. It's under PCM. Once in PCM, "PROTECT" becomes "SERVICE". There are no errors and when I run the MOST test, everything checks out fine. I can find control modules and there is read code and write code function and I did read and write to no effect. Is there anything I missed? Sprint.
  13. Hi Loren! No effect. Locking & unlocking via transmitter same result. Disconnected the battery with ignition off. Still "PROTECT" is on the display of CDR23. Any other way? This CDR23 is original to this Cayenne and until I did the vehicle handover mode on PIWIS, it was all fine! Sigh.. Sprint.
