V6 misfire at cold start even with new coils + sparkplugs

Recommended Posts

Since one year I can't find my problem at cold start on my 2004 V6. I changed and re-changed all coils pack and all spark plugs yesterday purchased from sunset imports to make sure it's genuine parts. Every time at cold start I noticed a lot of misfire (actual values like cyl#1 for 9 times in less than 30 seconds, and like 6, 3 or 1 for others cylinder) The sound is horrible and worst when it's humid and I recorded few code mystery code with durametric software. Like P2227, P1094, P1314, P1336, P907. I have no idea what to do. When engine is hot, the car is running like a new one, and if I stop the car for 10-15 mins and restart I need to wait 30-60 secs or the car hesitate or stall. Thanks for your help doctor.

P1094 Mass air flow in front of throttle implausible

Possible cause of fault

- Throttle stiff or 'blocked'

- Secondary air between hot film mass air flow meter and throttle (e.g. crack in hose)

- Throttle adjusting unit faulty

- Hot film mass air flow meter faulty (intake air temperature sensor)

- Hot film mass air flow meter faulty

- DME faulty (pressure sensor for ambient air pressure

Did you unplug the MAF?

Make sure all the connectors around the intake are plugged back in.
