How to make your sidemarkers flash

Just a heads up, this mod will not work with LED bulbs as they won't work with reversed polarity which this method incorporates. I realized this about half way through the process. I think that I'll switch my LED side marker panel to dedicated directionals and add another LED within the side marker to work with the parking lights.

I tried this tonight and got the left side done but it's not working as expected. When I have the headlights on I get no side marker on the left side, the right (unchanged) is still working. Likewise the turn signal does not flash the left side. I did note that when I engage the left side parking lamps it does illuminate so it seems to be working but not combined with the right side. Is it possible that the modification needs to be completed on both sides for the modification to work? I followed the directions and tapped into the smaller white/black wire. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike

The reference to LED lights is it rear or just sides.Because I put LED's in the rear and side markers and return to OEM side markers and there is the same problem...they work only when the H.lights are on...

Has anyone fixed this problem or has an answer how to cheat this.

I think I am missing something. At the last step with plug in wires, do we cut wire from pin plug say black/green , cut wire then reconnect old  cut wire plus the new wire? In other words 2 wires( new wire plus original} in one end of butt splice and wire from pin plug on other end of butt splice?

thanks
