Porsche Internal Numbering. 956? 958?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I get my new Cayenne 92A (it's a Diesel) in about three weeks and have a little question about the Porsche internal type-numbering scheme ...

The first generation of the Cayenne (E1) was called '955', res. '957' (facelift) in public, because of the spare-parts numbering-system of Porsche ...

I am wondering if somebody here knows the 'new' number of the 2011 Cayenne (E2).

Some people say '956', some throw '958'in the pot.

Perhaps there are already the spare-parts listed for the new generation. What are the first three digits of these numbers?

I think then we have the solution ...

Bye,

Thomas

:welcome:

The original Cayenne 2003-2006 is model 9PA (aka 955).

The 2nd generation Cayenne 2007-2010 is model 9PA1 (aka 957).

And, the 3rd generation Cayenne 2011 on is model 92A (aka 958).
