Hi, when i bought my 3.2s Boxster (2001) 9 months ago i had a sqeeking noise coming from the front suspension. After going through different porsche forums it pointed towards the bushes in the lower control arms, so i changed the bushes & that seemed to solve the problem.

Now the noise is back again, it makes a sqeeking / clonking noise when driving at slow speeds but only when i've been on a long drive or when it's hot weather. Is it possible it could be the anti-roll bar bushes or the drop links? or does anybody have any other ideas?

Thanks.

Might be a long shot but check inside the "dish" that in halfway up the strut. It's where the spring sits. It can collect road debris and stones. I work at a Volvo dealership and it's actually a common complaint on the Volvo XC90. These stones under the spring are exactly what cause similar noises and clunks on the Volvo.

Just to let you guys know i've found the squeeking noise on my car. I'ts the front lower ball joint, unfortunatly you can't buy just the ball joint you have to get the whole lower control arm which are not that cheap.

So as the noise was driving me nuts & as a tempory fix while i save the money for a replacement i injected grease into the joint which has cured the problem for now.

Hope this helps anyone else with the same issue.
