Engine lugs when coming to a stop.

I have been trying to figure this out for a while now, to no avail. Perhaps someone here can help?

When I am coming to a stop in my 2004 S, in the last 10 feet or so as I come to a complete stop the engine idle falls to 400 RPM, for a second or so. The car shudders, the idle picks up and everything is fine. I have a foot on the brake and am slowing like at a traffic light or something.

Has anyone noticed this?

Engine Mounts!! Porsche dealers are clueless! I just had engine mounts replaced and the problem is solved. No more reverberation when coming to a complete stop. The hydraulic mounts settled about one inch, without leaking. Replace transmission mount while you're at it. It is complicated and should be done at a shop.

were you able to resolve this? I am having the same issue with my 04 S. Was it the throttle body?

I too have this "low idle problem". Is the fix new engine mounts? Is the fix cleaning the throttle body? Bad MAF? Is there a way to adjust the idle? What should be the proper idle rpm?
