removing interior trim at a-pillar/windshield

Recommended Posts

Would like to run wiring for radar detector and GPS antenna inside the right a-pillar/windshield interior trim of 2007 Targa 4. Anybody know how to remove the plastic trim without destroying it? Would appreciate advice or reference to accessible tech info source.

Thanks, Loren... you're quick! I have prowled the 996 and 997 Forums and have looked at the parts catalog pages. I would like some more detailed advice about how to actually get this thing off without breaking something. Is there a PIWIS TSI or similar document you could point me to? If I knew where and how to release the clips and all that was left holding the piece was the double-sided tape I would feel better about pulling on it.

The Boxster guys have detailed it pretty well for their machines but that's not applicable to the 997.

All help and advice is appreciated.
