66' 912....Help with #'s

Any help would be Greatly Appreciated.....

I have a 66' SWB, 3 Gauge Dial 912 Coupe, US designation , which I acquired a few years ago....I am in process of selling the Porsche and have just found out that it is not a matching numbers car....which was the pretense under which I purchased the car...from the PO

Anyhow, we are where we are, and I will probably take a Hit on the negociated Selling Price.....

Details

Vin# 457256

Engine# 750954

Tranny # 237044 902-01

My questions....

From the Porsche Archives I have found that Engine # 750000 was the last case produced for the 66' Model , which I interpret that mine was produced as the 954th unit for the 67' Model ,is that a correct assumption ????..... Is there any possibility that I have an "early" production 67' engine in my 66' Coupe ?

How can I find out how many 912's were produced in Total for 1966 ???

Next, the Tanny # listed above......all my research shows the 902-01 to be correct years 65-thru-67...But the 6 digit "23044" code I cannot find in any of my cronicles and to add to the mystery....all the Tranny #'s I have found are only 5 digits....

Lastly, the heads are stamped 66

Any insight or direction would be appreciated

Thanks
