Hello All,

I just wanted to get anyones input on what the cost should be for a complete brake job on my 2006 cayenne S with silver calipers...

Here is the brake down.... I purchased 4 rotors (zimmerman C-coat) Hawk HPS pads front and rear and finally both sensors. I called my indy that I have taken my cayenne there before and many other cars of mine and he quoted me 360 dollars for install. Does that sound good? I think its fair, I just wanted to hear everyone's feed back and there experience on this.

It's a fair price. It would of cost me $980 for my indy to do my all of my brake job. To save money I brought my own parts total of $650 and do my own labor. It took me 2 1/2 hours of labor to finish the job. So if you really look it this way..I would charge $350 for labor as well. It would come close to my indy quoted me. I have a 2005 CTT.

I would totally do the job myself, as I love working on cars as a hobby. But you see, I have a wife who is chicken SH*T and thinks i'm going to mess up and try killing her on the road. So, I figured I'd just spend the extra 360 and get it done. Which I did and what a great difference these hawk pads are vs. the OEM. Great bite and no dust. Very happy. Happy wife, happy life fellas! Thanks for all your input. I really appreciate ya'll....

Well I wish I had paid somenone to do my brakes. I spent way too long getting things done this weekend. Didn't have the right size socket for the front caliper bolts or the right size torx for the rotors. And I don't know what they put the front rotor mount bolts in with but I had one helluva hard time getting them out. But it's done and breaking it all in now. I went with the EBC red stuff pads and so far I like them. They say the rotors will last longer and there will be less dust. The amount of dust the old ones put out was pretty ridiculous,

Sounds like a very fair price. My fronts were $360 labor.. my mechanic spent 2 hours getting one of the pad retaining bolts out. Turns out whoever did it last time (Porsche when they CPO'd it) didn't use antiseize and electrolytic corrosion took place welding the bolt in place. Rather than breaking the caliper getting it out - he worried it out, which takes quite a while. His total time on the job (and he doesn't waste time) was around 4 hours.
