Hello Forums,

My Cayenne 05 S is approaching 75,000 Miles.

As these cars are ridiculously expensive to maintain, I'd like to do some pre-emptive maintenance on the vehicle before more things break and fall out.

Could anyone let me know if there are things that they'd recommend changing or replacing at this age of a vehicle?

Recent changes:

New Plugs, Coils
New Serpentine Belt
New Oil

Coolant Pipes Replaced (3 Years Ago)
2 Year-Old Wheels

New Rear Brakes

New Propeller Shaft

Thanks!

Water pump, thermostat, air suspension compressor piston ring, if your keen.

These will greatly reduce the chance of you being stranded.

The one thing that would complement your preemptive maintenance philosophy and will provide maximum longevity is to change all your fluids. Definitely worth it as the extended life you will have far exceeds the cost of the fluids. Don't get caught up in the alternative fluid mantra, use the Porsche approved fluids and all will be good.

Some of these fluids are lifetime fluids or 150,000 miles, change them at half life and enjoy the benefits.

I agree with doing all of the fluids if you plan on keeping the Pig. Both Diffs, transfer case, and tranny. I would buy the Air compressor seal if you have Air Suspension but no hurry in replacing it as it is seldom a catastrophic failure. Usually starts out to be intermittent and then gets worse. But go with Bagpipingandy (out of the UK) off of Ebay for a fraction of the price of the VW rebuild kit.
