More Cayenne Turbo problems...

Hey y'all, got some more questions...

1. My car clunks. Only when slowing down, and below 10 mph. It's a very audible sound. Sounds like something disconnecting from something. And I don't think that it happens on a downshift. And if also happens maybe 10% of the time.

2. My gearshifts from 2nd to 3rd are brutal under full acceleration, only in Manual. Like the car jumps and it also is very worrying. Doesn't really happen in auto mode. Any idea? Obviously it is tranny related, but would it is?

For number 1) I would check ALL rubber bushings in the suspension. They will ALL eventually end up cracking and need to be replaced.

 

For Number 2) I suspect you are experiencing the well documented transmission valve body issue that impacted my original CTT and many others. My first problems were 2nd to 3rd harsh shifts, then clunking downshifts from 5th to 4th that were horrendous. google search "valve body issue porsche cayenne" for a good overview of the issue and the solution. I purchased a remanufactured valve body and had it installed and it completely fixed the issue.
