When you change the fluid, go ahead andf get the valve body out and clean it. If that does not help order the Transgo kit or a new valve body costing 1 times more. The choice is yours.

Hi rik881,

Reviving a pretty old post of yours - about the Transgo kit, is there any one in particular? Are they replacement parts or cleaning kits.

Hope you can still help!

I had hard shifts from 2 to 3 and back and i did not want to install another VB. THis kit made my CS shift better then new. You have to take the valve body out and carefully follow the instructions provided. You can easily do this on an afternoon if you have some skills. Clean VB with contact cleaner and let buy a $30 tranny filter with Mobil 3301 or Toyota T4 or something compatible like the Penzoil Platinum ATF. Good luck!
