Someone second check me on this Cayenne

Recommended Posts

I was looking at a posting for a Cayenne Turbo S.  This is the VIN: WP1AB29P46LA70679.  Here is the posting: http://charleston.craigslist.org/cto/4890268476.html

According to the VIN decoder the 5th letter should be a C not a B for a turbo or turbo S.  I believe that there is a titanium edition of the S model, and an S edition of the turbo model, but no turbo titanium S.  There isn't some special combination that I'm missing right?

So when i bought my CTT back in 2010....it was listed as a Cayenne only.

Got there and it was an executive assistant selling it for her boss......she never realized that there were many different trim options.....long story short......20k later, i owned a CTT that had very low mileage for a 2004.

That being said....definitely do your homework.....i had the VIN run at a dealership + carfax before i even went to see the car.  I brought the CPO list wth me and did an inspection in the parking lot.  The lady thought i was crazy.

All in all, there are great deals out there, you just need to do as much up front homework as possible.  Honestly, i think this guy truely believes he has a turbo engine haha.....he even makes reference to the fact that it is a titanium model color.....he probably just has no clue.

Also.....WAY to much for that car.

interesting... How does this guy get away with it? I purchased my CTT (2004) on CL did the whole carfax thing, car was like new with 34K miles on it. Since I've replaced the pipes, shaft, coils and water pump. The car is a beast. I did all items as a proactive step (except the shaft) at Scottsdale Porsche. Quotes form 3rd party shops were more expensive as Mark gave me some serious discounts on all the items... This car seems way over priced in my opinion. Its 2 years newer but has over double the miles on mine. Not too crazy about the color either.

  • 2 weeks later...

Yeah I am looking to replace my current jeep with something that can haul stuff and dogs at the same time. I'm lacking sufficient free time to travel around and test drive much. There are some decent ones around Florida that I might look at this summer if I don't find something sooner. This one in Atlanta looks decent for the year.

Of course the link didn't work right... it's an 04 ctt with 72k miles
