I've finally given in and got myself a Durametric.

Codes I've pulled off my 2004 Cayenne S are the following:

709:  Sun Sensor - Open Circuit/Short circuit to ground

I have looked around for this and have found no info for code above nor a part number or replacement for it?  - Ideas?

1299:  Gateway - Please read out fault memory, test conditions are not-completed, fault is currently active and is not causing a DTC light

I have found, again, very few explanations on this as well.  My be related to AC and or Blower Motor - Ideas?

The CAN gateway may need to be reset. To reset the CAN gateway take the key out of the ignition and remove fuse #40 for at least 10 seconds. The fuse panel is on the left side of the dashboard where the dashboard meets the door panel. Re-run the Durametric and see if the faults come back.

A BIG THANK YOU for this.....  I had some recurring gateway faults that were lingering from a failed battery.  I pulled both fuse 40 and 19 to be safe since the comfort module was also flashing codes.   So far, so good.
