I am thinking of getting a set of the cat bypass pipes, like the fabspeed I see many people have. My question is if what I hear is a crackling noise and if so if that is only right after start up? I am looking for a throaty deep sound, not something that sounds like an Accord. Don't get me wrong, that is fine for some, but on the Cayenne I would like it to sound deep. Should I just go with something like an agency power super sport exhaust if ilI am looking for just the deeper tone? I know it leaves the factory cats, but if the sound is better that is fine. I know some will like the crackling raspy sound, that is fine, just curious if it stays that way. Thanks

Wow. 111 views and not a single opinion. Pros or cons either way are invited. The cat bypass is obviously cheaper and easier to change but if it sounds like the videos at all times they are a no go. I know thought that the videos are not always a good representation, but I read some that say they do carry that raspy sound, but I do not see anyone saying whether that goes away after warmup as I have heard some setups in the past. That takes me to spending twice as much on an agency power exhaust which is fine if it has a more consistent low tone. I had the factory sport exhaust on a Boxster about 7-8 years ago and liked how it sounded for comparison, a little louder is fine.
