New Porsche Owner here, questions about adding Bluetooth and other thi

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone, just received my 2008 Cayenne Turbo a couple days ago and I love it so much! I traded in my 2010 Acura TL for it which had a lot of nice technology features such as Bluetooth audio streaming/phone use, back up camera, iPod integration, etc.  I was wondering what the best option for adding all these features to my Porsche.  I'll probably get it installed by a professional as I don't really have the knowledge set to do this, but I wanted to know what my options are for adding these features to my new Porsche.

I have read some units include everything I want but not sure of model #s etc, was hoping someone here who has done an upgrade like this could share their experience.  Minimum features I'd like to add are:

- Bluetooth Streaming

- Bluetooth Phone

- Backup Camera

- iPod integration

- (Nice to have) updated Navigation system + Touch screen (Not a fan of the PCM interface at all)

Thanks!

PCM was really out of date at the beginning of each generation compared to other Luxury manufacturers but by the end of each PCM generation it was Archaic.  You can add the Bluetooth for phone and streaming with the Mobridge. To add everything in a more modern interface you will have to go with a completely new unit, Pioneer, Kennwood, etc... custom installed with a MOST (fiber optic adapter).

Do a Google search, here is one I found:

Or if you don't want to spend $2000.00 to get what you want, take a look at the Dynavin setup. http://www.dynavin.com/products/n6_pc.php

There has been a few on this forum that have installed and like this setup. It's plug and play. Which means you could even install it (maybe). [emoji849]

I used a mobridge unit $175 on eBay with a Kinivo BTC450 Bluetooth Hands-Free Car Kit from Amazon which was $35, Also removed my CD changer in the back and installed a fiber loop. Works like a charm, I listen to my apple music service via BT all the time. The little Kinivo unit is awesome as you can also take and make hands free calls with it.

I just yesterday pulled a working Cartronics.com iTronic  bluetooth / Ipod / Aux input to fiber optic device out of my 2008. Its all-in-one solution for Bluetooth music and phone calls.  Works with steering wheel controls and dash info display.   I was just about to put it on ebay...  I didnt even know it was in there.  Im going a different route to solve that same problem. Wont let me post a pic of my 10" Android Radio.
