  1. I used the aftermarket camera to replace the Porsche stock camera which stopped working. My installation was easier since I did not have to run cables all the way to the front and could just use the factory installation as per this tutorial: http://www.renntech.org/forums/tutorials/article/335-aftermarket-reverse-camera-to-replace-stock-camera/
  2. Been there. Done that! Just recently installed aftermarket Chinese back-up camera. Just use the old light harness. Don't remember which color is positive (I used a multimeter with the lights on to check). Since camera cable is small gage I just pushed it into the female harness with a toothpick and is tight enough.
