  1. Thanks, and yes that's what the book says but Porsche is always overly cautious. What may happen?
  2. Can I tow my BoxsterS Tiptronic behind my motorhome (4 wheels down/ not trailered)? Any thoughts on this?
  3. Diesel oil lubricates as well--or better than those designed for just gas engines. HOWEVER, diesel oil contains an additive that poisons the catalytic converter. If you live in a State that does not do smog inspections, you might get away with using diesel once. Continued use could cause a build-up in your converter and create unnecessary back pressure. Not a good thing.
  4. Loren: Thanks for the info. I finally got around to trying to remove the tank. You are right, the tank must come out via the A-pillar. However, the plastic cover is in the way so the door must come off. I almost died when I saw that. However, there is good news. I discovered a air vent/drain hose at the bottom of the tank. Removed same and drained tank in a bucket. I continually filled with clear water until the drain was absolutely clear. I will not use the washers until we have a heavy rain so if there is any residual stuff remaining there will be no harm. Thanks again. You have helped one heck of a lot of folks
  5. Loren, Help I did a stupid thing this morning when I pumped a quart of Super Blue into my Windshield Washer Tank. I have done the brake fluid change perhaps 20 times on my 993 but with the 997, I obviously had brain fade. Using my Motive Pressure tank, the entire quart went in before I even realized what I had done. Question, how do I get the stuff out? How do I remove the washer tank on the 997? I THINK Super Blue mixes with water but obviously I don't want to use my squirters etc. until EVERYTHING is cleaned out. Thanks in advance
