  1. I've got a handful of local FM stations that have been set for four years, and they all work just fine, but the call letters displayed are wrong. I've even contacted the station engineers, but nothing resolved. One even shows a west coast series of letters starting with a K, the other just wrong altogether. Did not see anything in the manuals or online about manually setting call letters for radio stations. Odd....
  2. B&M Short Shift Kit for Porsche Dension 500SBT for Porsche (PCM 2.1) See details on the Special Offers page (for members here): http://www.renntech.org/forums/topic/45431-november-to-remember-sale/
  3. For those of you who have installed the Dension 500SBT (not the older Gateway 500), there is a new firmware release available now. http://www.dension.com/sites/default/files/gateway-500s-bt-gw52xxx/firmware/gateway_500s_bt_fw_0051.zip Added Bluetooth stability New Software improves Bluetooth sound quality If you purchased from us at BumperPlugs.com, feel free to send any questions via email: info@bumperplugs.com Offering first-rate sales and support for your Dension since 2006
  4. We like to call it Black, Red and Fast as Hell! With some new BumperPlugs goodness added in for good measure. Customer with 2010 GT3 updated interior with some painted trim: Gloss Piano Black Rear Center Console Gloss Piano Black Front and Rear sections for console Guards Red Shifter Trim We know the stuff looks great when we complete the work and ship, but we don't always get to see it on final installation. Thanks Eric J for sending the images! Drive safe.
  5. Um, guess I can weigh in here. Our paint process is quite unique, and is not a quick spray job. The paint process itself involves over 15 stages, and requires nearly 9 working days to complete. Spraying the rubber bumperette with a rattle can of paint, even the best paint, will give you nothing more than pebble textured, rubbery looking finish, in the color of your choice. It will likely spider and crack within days. When ours are completed, they are smooth, flexible, and mimic the same finish as the bumper. Moving slowly through the process, something we've learned in 14 years of painting rubber, is key. We cure every stage of the finish, so that in the end you get something worthy of installing on a fine vehicle like this, AND something that will last a long time. We have our painted bumperettes on some vehicles over ten years, and they look as good as new. You cannot, under even the best skill, achieve that with a rattle can in the backyard. But of course, some people will try. And I can't blame them. But it's $249, not $300, for the complete painting, and it does take a long time and a lot of labor to complete. Shipping does add some cost. Questions? Feel free to email me anytime. eric@bumperplugs.com Many thanks....and VP, they look stunning!
  6. Depending on location, I'd suggest you speak with Matt at Detailing Dynamics in Mineola. They know the top places for touch up work. Tell him Eric, The Plug Guy, sent you.
  7. If you have PCM, we offer both Tooki and Dension solutions and ship worldwide. Email me anytime: eric@bumperplugs.com
  8. Not only have we been the primary distributor for this product, we have extensive detailed files that will guide you through installation and setup, way beyond the package insert. And we ship worldwide, every day. -> http://www.BumperPlugs.com Click the Order tab. Questions? eric@bumperplugs.com
  9. harberb.....what device are you using on the iPod cable? iPhone 4 perhaps? Did you try another older iPod to see if it behaves same way? Have you done a hard reset on the Dension?
  10. Cavs - did you get your Dension from us at BumperPlugs.com? We have direct access to Dension Engineering, and have worked with Dension for more than five years as primary distributor, AND as a result of our participation in the Apple Development Group, discovered this charging issue some time back when the i4 was intro'd. We carry the iPhone 4 cable and boosters to charge the i4. The issue is twofold: 1) if you plan to connect to the Gateway via cable from the device, you must have the iPhone 4 cable (available on our Order page at BumperPlugs.com), and/or 2) if you need to have charging for the device on the cable, you'll need the booster as well. Boosters have not yet landed in the US but will be in our warehouse in just a couple of weeks. The iPhone 4 cable charges at 1/2 the power rating of the iPhone 4, so it WILL still charge without the booster, but will take longer. The booster allows full speed charging. And for those using an iPhone 4 with the older cable, forget it - you need the iPhone 4 cable. But another note: many of our customers know they can stream audio via Bluetooth with our Dension Kits that have the BTA1500, so they don't use the cable at all. For those of you with older Densions, the iPhone 4 cable may not suffice (older, as in first generation - third gen is what we sell now, and we ALWAYS have the newest boxes in inventory as we receive shipments about every ten days). Harperb and Thunder - if you bought from us, we're here for support, just email me so I can try to help resolve. Email me with any questions on this anytime: eric@bumperplugs.com
  11. Those vent slats are Alumalook. It's not an easy formula to match. We've done it for years, but we won't paint a/c vent slats. The film build is the issue. If they are painted now, and you need them to be re-done, they may have too much material on them once completed (if done right) and then they won't move correctly. We do most of the other interior parts in any finish, including alumalook. Feel free to email me. Here's a 996 Turbo interior we did a few years ago, all Alumalook:
  12. Did you try the RESET button on the Aux switch? Often this clears past histories and puts things back in order. You can email us for firmware anytime too (not sure where you bought your unit, but there are some unscrupulous resellers out there who don't support their customers. We do.). We have earlier versions too, and have had a few situations where reverting to an earlier version, then reset, then move to a newer version, then reset, did the trick. eric@bumperplugs.com
  13. Although we sell more Dension product than mObridge, you may have issues with your contact list IF you have international numbers that have characters. Just a hunch. Try to create a hotlist of numbers without characters, and try to pair the hotlist. See if that works. Have you contacted mObridge?
