Do the windows go up when you hold the close side of the switch on the dash? If not, you probably have a micro switch somewhere that isn’t indicating that the top is completely closed. Although in this situation I was under the impression that the top would open back up into the “maintenance” position. If the windows do go up when you use the inside dash control, I have no idea why they don’t using the key in the door lock. I guess just try holding the key in the lock position for 10 to 20 seconds more...

Hi all. I'm in the middle of a water pump replacement that has expanded to include a bunch of other maintenance items including the replacement of the AOS on my '99 C2 convertible. Once I removed the intake stuff and the alternator I finally got the AOS out. Now that I'm ready to start re-assembling, I have found 2 things that aren't connected to anything. First up is a 2 conductor electrical connector that I don't recall disconnecting. The wire joins the wiring harness on the left side of the engine just to the outside of the dome shaped vacuum tank. I've included 2 photos of the connector. My apologies for the quality. I do't know if it's important, but I can see that the inside of the connector is green. My guess is it's the dust seal and not important. Any hints as to where I should look for a place to plug this in? Secondly, the "Y" connector in the vacuum circuit has 1 missing line and the leg of the "Y" has been plugged. It looks like someone purposely did all of this. The last 2 images show the "Y" connector as I found it. Has anyone seen anything like this? From the parts drawings I can't determine where the missing vacuum line would go. The car was running great with no CEL etc. Can/should I leave one or both of these as they are? I'd really hate to put it all back together only to have a problem and have to take the intake and alternator out again. Thanks in advance! --Q

I’m no expert, but for my ‘99 Cab, I’m doing the M030 kit from Suncoast parts along with the motor mounts and a fresh set of bushings. I don’t track mine so I’m just freshening the factory parts.
