  1. Anyone have pictures of a boxster w/ 18x10 et40 rear wheels? I believe these are same size / offset as 993tt. Do they fit without sticking out past the wheel lip or just look silly? anyone using this size? rubbing or other issues w/ fitment w/ 265/35 tires? Thanks-
  2. Again, an R-compund DOT 17" tire is far stiffer than an 18" street tire.. no warnings about that.
  3. Why are 18" wheels not recommended for use on the 1997 Boxsters? A sticky (r-compound) 17" tire is capable of loading the rear suspension as much if not more than 18" street tires so I wouldn't expect it is an issue w/ strength. Likewise, the rear sizes are similar (265 vs 255) - same O.D., width is within 10mm so the physical dimensions should be OK. Hoping someone can elaborate - I understand there were numerous rear suspension changes made for the 1998 model year (including strengthening of the crossmember) but the popular M030 suspension upgrades are listed as covering all models 1997 to 2004 - this implies the geometry couldn't have changed that much...
  4. Here's the link Click the "Foto-show" link on the left of the article for pictures, the interior will take some getting used to..
  5. Check the switch at the top of the clutch pedal - porsche uses 2 on the 9x6 cars.. one at bottom of clutch travel for starter interlock, second at the top so that the ECU can infer when you're shifting or disengage the cruise if you push the clutch in. It can stick all the way in & prevent the cruise control from working. Easy fix is to pull the plunger out a bit.. On my '97 you can hear both clicking when pushing the clutch pedal down. If you only hear the click when the pedal approaching the floor, you've found the problem.
  6. How much do the sport techno wheels weigh? Are the spokes hollow as w/ the turbo wheels? Stryke, do you have a close up of the rear wheel or even a rear 3/4 shot? Curious to see how the wide the rim is in relation to the tire. Thanks -
  7. Are TSB's intentionally blocked from being printed? Why?
