  1. Or if you don't want to spend $2000.00 to get what you want, take a look at the Dynavin setup. http://www.dynavin.com/products/n6_pc.php There has been a few on this forum that have installed and like this setup. It's plug and play. Which means you could even install it (maybe). [emoji849]
  2. That's what I am going to do. I have read enough about either product being very good and with no issue, but the Avin is going to be the latest tech.
  3. I wrote Avin support about when the latest unit for the Cayenne will be available. Here was their response: Yes we are developing our all new Avant-3 platform now. It will be all new hardware and software and will be the highest spec unit out on the market. The Porsche model will all be based on the Avant-3 platform that we hope to have ready by March.
  4. Try looking at the "Oil Separator"... I just got my 08 cayenne back from the local Porsche shop and was having the same issue at idle in park/drive. Mine happened after running a can of Seafoam thru the fuel and crankcase. It was still drivable for a few months until the separator finally gave way. $1377.00 later she runs like a champ.
  5. I'm getting ready to take make a move in replacing my PCM (2008 Cayenne Base) and am wondering which unit would work if I don't have the Subwoofer Amplifier model? Would any of the "Chinese Plug and Play" models work? Any help would be appreciated , thanks.
  6. Appreciate the info. I will be getting the codes checked tomorrow. Just thought I would see if anyone had ever had/heard of the same issues.
  7. So I am new to the Porsche world, but not new to German built vehicles. I have an 08 Cayenne (82k miles) I picked up (in perfect condition) with all the service history done at the local Porsche dealer. The last service was the 75k. Any way, I thought I would run some "Seafoam Motor Treatment" thru the fuel system and now (2 days later) I have a check engine light, with an erratic idle (also a pinging between 3k and 4k rpm). Anyone have any idea as to what could be the cause of the idle and pinging. I plan on getting the codes read tomorrow, but just thought I would see if anybody had any ideas. By the way, I absolutely love this rig and am not scared by the hefty price tag that comes along with the care and maintenance of the Porsche. [emoji10]
  8. Just ordered both items. Hopefully everything goes smooth. Thanks for the links.
