  1. Found out yesturday that 05 Cayenne 3.2L has started leaking coolant out/around the thermostat housing. Have yall gone about doing this repair yourselves without having to drop the transmission. That really isnt an option that we can do here at the house and the nearest shop that will even touch a Porsche is about an hour away. Pictures and write up are very much appreciated, Thank you.
  2. Looking at doing my first transfilter change and wanting to do the diffs and transfer case as well. How well does the diffs and transfer case work with the Redline 75w90?
  3. Got time to look and see if my PCV's diaphragm was the culprit to my P2189/P2187 check engine code after finding that it could be on another forum. Got on top of my engine and before unplugging out of the PCV decided to just look at the hoses (had part of the trim around the back of the engine off anyway and it being 11 years old). Looked down and saw these two hoses split that go into the "sucking jet pump", followed one of them down that plugs into the intake pipe, not for sure where the other goes. Also a part number would be great if i could get it for these, it is the VR6 engine
  4. I will next time i fill it up, im having a "Banks 1 and 2 lean code" would the mileage i have stated possibly be off because of that?
  5. i have the vr6 and getting 22-23mpg at 55mph, did break the 24mpg mark one day, highway speeds (75mph) maybe midrange of 22. That normal consumption that yall know of for the vr6?
  6. Wonder what kind of gas mileage you all are getting in the first gen cayennes?
  7. I have the 05 V6 version and im at that 160,000 mile mark myself, and needing to do some of this. DId you already have the coil packs replaced before now and were you getting a check engine light code relating to a vacuum leak in the intake/throttle body area (having that code now and already replaced the gas cap) or did you it just to be sure?
  8. Have a 2005 base package cayenne without the Bose package, like to know if the wiring is there to add the Bose factory subwoofer and amp for it. And would i also have to change the head unit to the Bose as well to get the full benefit of it. Dont want to go to all the trouble just to add a little bit more low end to it, but would like to know before i buy a subwoofer for it.
  9. Elvis T, I am very interested in a solution. Just bought a 2005 Cayenne (my first Porsche). And it has this issue.
