  1. Thanks! I topped the coolant up with distilled water and made it to dealers with no problems.....good to know about bottled water as well!
  2. ....just recently acquired my first porsche (2010 Boxster). I have checked the coolant level and it appears to be below the min. level. (I can not view the actual bottle to confirm the actual level) However, I have just learned that you must use antifreeze authorized by Porsche. The temp gage appears to be Ok and sits in the middle. Should I be concerned that the level has dropped? There is no indication that there is a leak i.e. garage floor or distinct odor. I am approx. 60 miles away from the closest dealer, should I be topping the coolant up with reg. anti-freeze in the event of over heating on the hwy?
