  1. Hello I have been working on refreshing my 2001 996TT. I have replaced most of the one way valves for the turbo system in the engine compartment, including the large tubes and coming from the y pipe. When i tested the system by putting it on 5# of pressure, I can hear a leak coming from where the tube on the left (drivers side) goes into the Y pipe. I can't figure out where this could be coming from as the tube is literally brand new. Am i missing something? TIA Brian
  2. +1. Just did this tonight and it took 1 minute. Great help!
  3. Here is an interesting update. Just went out to take apart the door and now the window does drop and there is not double bed on door lock anymore. I think my car sensed I had its number and decided to behave. May still do the swap, or may wait for it to malfunction again, likely at the least opportune time. Will call Sunset in the meantime.
  4. Wow,. I have ordered from them before but didnt realize they had renntech prices. Thanks for the tip
  5. I'll have to check. Just got the part but also just had hand surgery so need to wait a few days to put it in. Also, what is the discount you mention? Is it for being a Renntech member?
  6. It definitely beeps twice on unlock and is silent on lock. The door lock works BTW. Sounds like I need to replace the locking mechanism, wouldn't you agree? Thanks for the assistance.
  7. Not sure what to do here as I think the car does lock normally and beeps twice on lock. Will have to test it.
  8. Been doing lots of reading as, this weekend, my 2001 996TT passenger window stopped going down when opening the door from either the inside or outside. The window has no play in it, and it rolls all the way up and down no problem. So, I think maybe it is the door lock mechanism? Not sure what else to test. Also, there are 2 parts that seem identical, and both are Porsche parts, but one is twice as much and I'm not sure which to purchase. Part #: 8N2-837-016-B-OEM is $191 Part #: 3B1-837-016-P-M100 is $360 Any help welcome!
