  1. I have a 2001 Boxster S that is a flood car that I rebuilt (totally submerged) and I have one outstanding issue that still needs attention. The micro switch in the left convertible top gearbox is not working 100%. It will let the top down, but on occasion it will not let the top back up. (I have to reverse jump the motor to get it closed) The flooded unit was scrapped in place of a unit out of a parts car and although it worked initially, it is now a bit stubborn. This is not the typical micro switch in the latch and is also not the B-pillar or switch on the motor for earlier cars. This switch is built into the left gearbox assembly behind the left (drivers side) B pillar. (see picture borrowed from another post) I notice that the gearbox is available with a true PN from the dealer, but I can find anyone who sells just the three way micro switch and I don't see anyone who has repaired one. This is a bit of a PITA to change, so ideally, I would like to install a new part once and not a used one again. Any help on this guys? Thank you. David Lee in Houston, TX
