  1. Hi all: I just pulled the trigger on a 2001 Cabriolet tiptronic with only 73300kms (that's 45,00 mles!) which is very low for a 17 year old car! Sadly the engine experienced an IMS bearing problem and when the dealer scoped the engine there were valve kisses on all the pistons, no compression, loads of metal debris, etc etc. Long story short I need a new M96.04 motor or someone who can rebuild the M96 using all the knowledge of the years past to build a bulletproof motor. I am in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and ideally need a local reference for either a suitable engine, a rebuilder, or someone who could reprogram the ECU from the 3.4 to a 2.7 donor motor I have found that I can swap in. Help 9whimpering) please... Cheers TheBird
