    Yep, pelican diy is on a tip. Description mentions 'shifter must be in drive to remove the console, or second gear for manual, this guide is performed on a tip' Approx recall from memory

    Looks like yellow arrowed area is double skinned (note seam visible where the overlap is). And red circle is further back than the double skin section, the floorpan will bend up if you jack on this imho. Though you could jack on red circle if you use a spreader plank of ply, longitudinally along that frame rail which yellow arrow & red circle are both on..

    Bad earth, get this on the 986 some times after a hard bump, pull the headlight & reseat it, fixes it every time for me

    bumper/wheel / inner arch off makes for super easy access if you can be bothered. Just a note rather than buy the £126GBP (per side!!!) resistors from Porsche, I replaced mine with a pair of heavy duty 100W x 0.5 ohm resistors from ebay, £2GBP each...... Just cut wires off the resistors and solder on new ones. Beers!

    Is this just the o-ring on the tensioners failing or is there an internal spring or similar loosing tension?

    Thinking about it maybe it's the micro switches getting worn so they only 'switch' when the handle is fully lifted, and by this time the door has started opening.. ?

    I have a similar issue where I depress the door pull externally either side and the window drops but it slightly lags behind the door opening meaning the top edge of the window just catches, its exactly the same both sides so I assume its due to wear (00my 986S 87k miles) So based on the above would we assume it to be aged window operating mechanisms? both windows go up and down fine and auto works, it's hardly noticeable but I assume it will be straining the window frame/holder every time the doors are opened? Any input appreciated, Beers! HH

    I guess after I just pulled my Becker CR-22 which has all the white sticker labels blank means I'll have trouble providing serial numbers..? Unless they're inside? What the hell! Beers. HH
