  1. The dealer did do that. They said there was slight scuffing but the issue was most likely valve related, especially because all other cylinders were fine. The engine also doesn't seem to burn any oil or make any strange sounds (piston slap, etc) Also, the engine runs what I would consider perfectly at higher RPM/under boost. It also runs a lot better now that I fixed the one huge vacuum leak. -Will
  2. Hello, Well, Porsche gave me the diagnostic. Cylinder 3 has 95% leakdown caused by a valve problem all other cylinders in spec. There are no engine problems other than that issue. They said it could be a burnt valve but that there is significant carbon. I'm hoping for an easy solution, but if I need the head repaired, any insight into how serious a cylinder head R/R job is? Are the head bolts reusable? The history of the car is poor maintenance. When I changed the plugs and coils, every single coil was cracked, and they were the worst spark plugs I've ever seen. I'm hoping if I do a seafoam/water steam clean that the carbon will break free and seal back up. If not, I'll do the head I'm not that worried about it. Let me know your thoughts. -Will
  3. Another update. There was nothing wrong with the CPS.....deeper problems exist. Will start another thread on that. -Will
  4. Update - The dealer confirmed there are no "soft" issues with the car. They are going to warranty my brand new CPS as they think that CPS may also be bad right out of the box. Will keep you posted. -Will
  5. ****...good to know though. I actually brought it to the dealer today. Reason is because there is effectively nothing else I can do at this point. I put my meter on the three terminals within the CPS plug and each bank reads correctly: 12 volt, good ground and 5 volt are all present. Past a blatant wiring problem, I am at the limits of what I am able to do. I will post back with what Porsche says. I did correct the vacuum leak at the vacuum pump, the brakes work better and the engine runs even smoother. -Will

  7. Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and to Porsche ownership in general. My 2005 Cayenne Turbo has a misfire and a few codes, but I would suspect the code P0341 is the root cause (Durametric says the other codes are "not displaying a CEL". P0341 is for a bas signal from the Bank 1 camshaft position sensor. I replaced it, and there was no change. The Durametric shows a signal coming from the bank 2 sensor, but for bank 1 is just shows "---". I don't know where to go from here. The car has a rough idle, stumbles off the line, but anything over 2500 rpm it pulls just fine, makes boost, etc. It also cruises very well at any speed once moving. Let me know what you guys think. Otherwise, itll be going to the dealer. This is the last issue preventing the car from being perfect, as I have done all other work/maintenance the car needs. -Will
