  1. The indy replaced the Vacumn Pump and also a solenoid. He said he didn't need to remove the intake manifold but instead rigged a new solenoid, he did charge 3hrs labor. But haven't seen the P0455 problem since then.
  2. Well the gift that keeps on giving is back again. My passenger side light has been giving issues for about 3 weeks. The lights will suddenly go off on the passenger side Xenon and I would get a "Low beam" warning on the dash. For the last couple of weeks. Simply turning off the light and turning it back on would resolve the issue. Then as of this week that stopped working all the time. First thing I did was to buy new D1S bulb and change it. FAILED I then swapped the new bulb with the existing bulb on the driver side. FAILED. I then used the passenger side bulb that wasn't working on the driver side and it worked. WTF not the bulb then! So based on that I'm thinking something else is wrong. I swapped the ballasts from the driver side to the passenger side and the light worked and the problem followed the passenger ballast to the Driver side. WTH X2 I called my locals for the price of a new ballast and I'm being told that it's $699. WTH???? Seven hundred dollars? WTH X700 They then tell me I have to replace both sides for $1400 as the original part number 95563119400 is now updated to 95563119403. WTH X1400. Firstly why would a simple control module cost 700? Secondly is there a way to source an aftermarket version or used on? Any ideas? I've read somewhere that it might just be that my current ballast might need to be reprogrammed, is that ture? Thirdly if I got a new one, any idea if I have to then still have it reprogrammed? The dealerships in my area are just outright stealerships.
  3. Well I'm stumped.. Mine has now switched to showing the P0244 Code instead. I had been getting P0455 Code since having the thermostat/Waterpump/Belt/Pulley changed 2 weeks ago. Went back to the indy who did the pump change and he stuck a computer on the OBD2 and did some tests. Since I changed the Gas cap 5 months ago, we are sure it isn't that. Then he did some test and said he was sure it is not the purge valve (essentially he unplugged a few hoses into the purgeValve and used his own hoses and the computer to trigger the valve, which he could hear clicking and was also not able to blow air through it during the test or vice versa)..not exactly the most sound test but okay. Then he pulled on the little 90Degree hose on the Vacumn pump behind the manifold and said it was too easy to come lose that maybe it wasn't connected. Me I couldn't tell if it was disconnected or if it came lose. Bottom line is, he then said it is my vacumn pump most likely the issue, then he put the little 90Deg hose back. After that 90Deg hose was reconnected, my code went from being P0455 to now being P0244 (go figure). I think the P0244 code is more for the LDP being bad, but he was saying that the VacumnPump(VP) is the issue. I also recall reading somewhere that a faulty VP will cause oil to enter the LDP, and that the LDP just needs to be cleaned and it could be ok and it's just the VP. So I'm wondering what the heck is going on now.
  4. Having the same issue with P0455 on my 08 Cayenne S. Do you have any info on the leak detection pump replacement? Sounds like that didn't fix the problem so have you done something else?
