  1. Tried that, everything but this exact style/type comes up in the U.K. Only seems to be available from Suncoast. Surely they can't be the only distributor?
  2. Hi does anyone know where you can buy these from as from what I can see these guys do not deliver to the UK They state they are for the 986 and the photo is just a guide.
  3. Thanks will give it a go for sure 👍
  4. Ok thanks for the reply . Is there anything you can spray that is safe and not flammable?
  5. There are 2 small screws, sometimes marked by red paint that you need to undo to remove the ignition barrel if that's what you are after. I had to replace mine as the key was starting to jam. It's quite fiddle to get to. Hope this is of some help and good luck.
  6. Hi all Has anyone had any issues with mice? Today I noticed that mice have eaten a nice hole in my rear drip tray, pollen filter and under dash cover in passenger footwell 😞. If I get the rear drip trays replaced anyone know how this can be stopped from happening again? Cars are parked on a driveway and they have already had a good feed under the bonnet of my other car. Is this a one off or quite common? cheers
  7. Once I've taken off the plastic cover you can see where the filter would be getting wet . I've put some blue paper there to show that it's getting wet . The plastic cover just doesn't seem to be doing its job.
  8. Yes the half cover is all in place and looks perfect. Over the weekend I dried the inside carpets and put down blue paper in the foot well to investigate where the water came in. I also dried the pollen filter replaced and put everything back together. Over night having heavy rainfall the inside of the car had no leaks on the footwell at all. I took off the plastic cover plate over the pollen filter and it was wet again with water sitting in the housing below but not quite up to the fan hole so no water had come inside. its definitely water dripping onto the filter from above but do not see why as everything looks right , it's never done this before . I have reassembled everything without the pollen filter but replaced with blue paper to see where the water is coming from, but I think I'm pretty sure already just don't know why? Very annoying 😡 The front drains are all clear and running fine Thankyou for help so far
  9. Thankyou Loren , the front drains were blocked , would this fill and then gonas high to then go into the pollen filter housing ? Hopefully thus is what caused the problem . We will see. thankyou
  10. Hi has anyone here ever experienced or noticed that there pollen/cabin filter is absolutely soaked and the fan housing filling with water and running into the interior making the front footwell carpet wet? It's a new one to me and it's never done it before. Any help welcome please . thankyou
  11. Hi does anyone know that if you fit a full sports exhaust system inc the manifolds and change the air induction do the sensors automatically give the information to adjust the fueling etc so it runs to its best capacity, or does it need to be set up again on a rolling road? Thanyou
  12. Update. Even though the drain tubes allowed water through they were not as clear as they could be . This was corrected by a local Porsche specialist who identified that after heavy rain they backed up as couldn't cope. So although I thought I had checked this it was definitely worth letting the experience guys check. Thankyou.
  13. Update for ideas please. Even with a half roof cover the water is still getting in from somewhere.
  14. Thankyou for the reply, yes I have looked as this area. I have taken out the trim to find it's definitely coming in from the inner rear wing but thanks for your suggestion
  15. Hello everyone this is my first post, hopefully someone maybe able to help. I am new to the boxster world and love my car but for one persistent issue, the dreaded wet carpet behind the drivers seat. I have spent many hours , days weeks searching the internet and checked all the classic places inc all the drain points , doors, seals etc etc..... with no luck. I have traced where the water comes into the cabin from the inner rear wing behind the seatbelt carpeted bolster. I have ran a hosepipe direct into both rear drains and all runs fine, filled the collection tray and runs fine with no leaks. But after rainfall water appears from the inner wing again. I've sat in the car when raining and checked the rear curtain rail etc and to be honest the roof seems excellent as no water even come in there . I've checked the door before I realised it was cominging into the rear wing and all was fine there too. I taken out the tray in the rear above the drain pipe and even that's dry. I really have run out of ideas? Even checked it's not coolant fluid. Any suggestions other than keeping a towel in the car which I'm doing at present. Thankyou
