  1. it was for a coupe. thank you - appreciate the help. jorge
  2. i used Silicon grease that was purchsed at NAPA about 5 or 6 dollars for the tube.
  3. 1999 Porsche C2, I am looking for the part number for the door seals (the one that attaches to the body). thanks in advance jorge
  4. Apparently there has been a price hike. I just checked the same site and it's not $239... did you check with sunset?
  5. i used this procedure. it's for a boxster but 996 is the same. http://www.bombaydigital.com/boxster/projects/window/
  6. most likely the window is not dropping a bit when you open the door and gets stuck on the channel. had this problem on mine, replaced the window regulator. there is a procedure here http://www.bombaydigital.com/boxster/projects/window/ BTW, regulators are on sale at sunset porsche right now (link above) g/l
  7. just gotta say, the group on this BBS is much more mature than the group at 6 speed..........no personal attacks here if you happen to disagree.... kudos to you guys. jorge :renntech:
  8. Brian Can you give more details on where the ports located and how much pressure should be read?? thanks jorge Ports are located to the left of the battery, under the plastic cover. The refill kits (Autozone, NAPA, etc) have a built in gauge that shows correct pressure. If you have a lot of mileage on yours, get the "High Mileage" refill, it has a different oil booster. BTW, you DID realize this post was from 2006, right???!!!! yep sure did. mine started acting up recently and did a search. thanks for the help jorge
  9. Brian Can you give more details on where the ports located and how much pressure should be read?? thanks jorge
  10. I used a footwell light switch (most non-descript) for mine. mounted it on the open spot below PSM switch. Only functions not avail is the speed gong.
  11. I replaced my tach with a yellow one from Gemballa. Wasn't that bad (getting glue on gauge face was trickiest part). Everything worked fine afterwards......do agree that one must be very careful with this project. jorge
  12. From the DIY section. http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=7059 i followed the direction given here......also dexterity is your friend. jorge
