    Hi, I am having the same problem on a cayenne 2004 s. Yesterday i was able to take the headlight out to check connection and tighten headlight adapter screws. Today i was trying to take the headlight out to change low beam bulb, it comes almost out but get stuck somewhere. Tried turning the access screw in all + - directions, no luck. I do not want to apply too much force so i don't make it worse. Any tips to take the headlight out. Thanks in advance.

    Well i took my car yesterday to the mechanic due to heavy coolant leakage. After diagnosing the problem, he assured me that it needed the coolant pipes kit and it is going to cost around 2300 for the repair. I knew that mod was pricey but not that pricey. So i took the car to another mechanic. Waiting for the verdict. What kind of assistance is Porsche USA providing ? Cayenne 2004 S.

    Good Luck, you saved a lot of money. It cost me close to a 1000 US$ to get the drive shaft replaced. Regards

    2004 cayenne S, 95K miles. No Air suspension.

    It seems to happen under power stress, whenever it upshipt past 30 mph the sound dissapears and then if i push the acceleration pedal down it down shifts and the sound is back again .

    Hi, I am getting a very loud front end noise (passenger side) whenever i accelerate over 25 mph. It sounds like a loud Bad CV joint ( Dug...Dug..Dug) or sounds like running on a deflated tire. Is it a bad cardan shaft ? Thanks

    Thanks for the fast reply. I ordered a gas cap from sunsetimports to start with. He said they've already sold 30 pieces this month. I have to change the A/C blower motor too. Regards

    Hi, Lately i have a CEL coming on. I 've ran the Durametric diagnostics and it came with 2 errors; 1- P0011: Camshaft position Timing over 2- P0455: Evaporative Emission System Leak. Any idea where to begin with ? Thanks Cayenne S 2004

    Hi, I have an engine check light. So i ran the durametrics diagnostic tool and came up with two faults 1- P0011 - A camshaft Position - Timing Over Advanced or System Performance B1 present. 2- P0344 Circuit bank 1 or Single Sensor No Signal / communication Is it a camshaft position sensor that is faulty ? Thanks for your help.

    Hi, I bought a Cayenne S 2004 with 49K on it, the warranty expired on 50k. I had the choice to extend the warranty for another 3 years, for about 3500$ but i opted not to do so assuming porsche reliability. Most to my surprise lately(55k) i have been having an ignition problem which turned out to be(thanks to this site) the cracked spark plug coils. Since i know a little bit how to turn wrenches and not willing to shell top dollars for Porsche dealers, i changed them myself for about 350$( all coils and spark plugs). That's the only repair i had to do so far. In the future i forsee an oil change, air filter and so on, which by the prices you find online, should be ok. A couple of tools ( obd2/Durametric) would be handy if you decide to do the work yourself. I would think you should keep your cayenne since it has low mileage. As for the warranty extension it depends if you are willing to do the maintenance yourself. Regards.

    Thanks RFM for your replies, The engine light just disappeared by itself :) , probably after a couple cycles it did not find no more ignition problem due to the coil/spark plug replacement. I heard that once the problem is fixed the light resets itself after a couple of startups but i was not sure. I read in this site that the obd2 software is a good one to own(read/resets obd codes). As for your english do not worry it is a good, je peux vous converser en Francais si vous le voulez. Merci encore. :renntech:

    Thanks for the advice. Passenger side was more difficult than the driver side. Removing the cover was a pain as much as setting up the new coil/plug on the cylinder near the firewall. All my of my 8 coils were cracked, i wonder if the new ones are any better, they look the same with a different part number. The car runs much better now :) but i still have the check engine light on. DO you know how i can reset that ? Regards

    HI, First of all thanks for this wonderful website. After doing some research here, i reached the conclusion that i need to check the plugs coils for damage( car stutter on low rpm). And to my surprise both of the coils that i removed(driver side) had the fine crack on them. I am ordering a full set of coils and plugs. Have the removal instructions for the driver side, i noticed that there is some kind of stabilizer on the passenger side cover, any special instructions to remove the passenger side cover to access the plugs ? Were there any recall for this issue since it seems very common ? Thanks in advance. Cayenne S 2004
