  1. I need some advice regarding the spoiler warning light. I have done a bit of research on various forums but can not seem to get to the bottom of this annoyance. Light comes on intermittently while I am driving the car. The spoiler remains operational with the under dash button. It will go up and down while the light is on. If I turn the car off the light goes off next time the car is started. It comes on after I drive the car for a while. I checked the relays, fuses, cleaned the switch. Not sure where to go next. Is the microswitch in the trunk possibly defective? Is this a speed sensor problem? I have no codes on my OBD reader. Any thoughts?
  2. I have searched the forum for a solution to this problem which others have experienced but I can not seem to find a solution. I have the warning light coming on intermittently. The under dash switch also works intermittently. When the light is on the switch does not work to operate the spoiler. I checked fuses and they are OK. Would a defective dash switch cause this? Are there switches in the spoiler assembly? Trying to avoid taking the trunk apart which is a pain. Thanks for any advice.
  3. If the ballasts were bad I figure they would not go on at all. And I did see them working on the car I bought them off of.
  4. I have a 2001 Boxster with the halogen lights. Just upgraded to the Litronics. I spent 2 hours taking the passenger light out. Had to remove the fender liner first. My impression was that this should be a direct swap. The lights come on but only stay on for a few seconds and go off. Am I missing something?
  5. If I were you guys I would stop trying to figure this out. I had a 2001 5 spd, which had a strong vibration at 3000 RPM's especially when decelerating. The dealer was unable to pinpoint this. I traded the car for a 2001 S which I still have. This car also has a hint of a vibration but to a much lesser extent. As far as I can tell most Boxsters I drove have this malady. I think it is perhaps a select group of owners like ourselves who are more in tune with the behavior and handling of our cars. My previous car was sold to a nice gent whom I spoke to, who has no issues with any vibration. I drove my friends 2003 today and discovered a hint of vibration- he does not pick it up. Bottom line is it is not really curable ( in my experience) and you could go nuts and broke trying to figure this out. Hope this helps.
