  1. This isn't a pressing issue, as the Boxster won't be moving around much in this snow... but I figured I could tackle this now rather than wait for summer. Have any of you had a kink or otherwise leaky windshield washer line? I pulled the car out a little this morning to get the snowblower out for the winter. When I went back to the garage to put the snowblower and Pcar away, I tried to use the washer fluid to help melt away the snow that had accumulated on the car as I left it outside (stupid me!) but there was no fluid. I made sure the nozzles were clear, and topped off the tank, and tried again: Same issue. I kept the motor going for ~30 seconds, but not a drop. When I pulled the car back into the garage, there was a melted blue spot from where it appears the fluid I had tried to use on the Windshield was re-directed to instead. The garage is heated, and I doubt the fluid would have frozen in the half hour the car was outside. I've read on another forum I frequent that some owners are experiencing mouse infestations around this time of the year... While I see no evidence in the garage of mice, I want to see if the line is simply unplugged, or if it has been chewed - don't want to replace a wiring harness in the spring! Could someone suggest a method of getting to the tank / lines to see what is going on, put my mind at ease, and possible solve this problem? Thanks in advance, Bry
  2. Wow, I thought I was going to have to head to the dealer to get my radio code... This community constantly impresses me! Could I get a code for my 2000 Boxster, please? CRD-220 BE 4462 Y5037856 Thanks!
  3. It's a CDR-220 stereo (CD player, with a mini 5-disc changer below it). Fuses in the box on the driver's side floor look OK. I have not pulled the dash apart yet; was hoping there might be something simple like a relay for both of these items... Nothing else appears to be unpowered, just the stereo and lighter
  4. Hi all, new owner of a gorgeous 2000 Boxster in alpine silver. Love the car, but have a question regarding some trouble that has cropped up. The stereo is not powering on at all... I am not certain if I had ever heard it on the test drive (I usually try to test everything, but this is a low priority), but I would like it working even if I never turn it on. The important thing (to me) is the accessory power for the cigarette lighter does not seem to be working either. This I need occasionally for work to use my GPS... Now, I am using this as an excuse to upgrade the GPS to a newer battery powered unit, but do want this going as well. I tried looking through the fuses listed for these items under the dash, but they are not blown out. Could someone suggest an alternate means of power loss in these 2 items? I suspect they are related, but I am not positive if I had tested them pre-purchase. I would prefer to take care of this myself, but I do have a warranty for such problems available and need to bring the car in anyway - the passenger side wiper went out last week (my first week of ownership) during a heavy rainstorm... Plus, I may as well have the OBC enabled B) Again, hello to everyone & I welcome any and all suggestions!
