Thanks to Loren for a great write up and to Danyol for great photographs. I changed my drive belt this past week and would like to add a few things I learned along the way. 1- getting the belt off is significantly easier than getting the new belt on! 2- leave the new belt in the sun so it will warm up and be a little easier to stretch while getting on. 3- I needed a second person to help pull the tensioner while I slipped the belt on the last pulley. 4- I was able to do this without removing the servo pump wheel. what are the benifits of the EVO Shift Link, i only use the car as a daily driver. do i need it with the B&M short shifter? thanks, Jacob the only benefit of the Evo shift linkage is that it is stronger and won't break. the short shifter will work either with or without it.

an aftermarket exhaust should be enjoyable both from a performance as well as aural stand point. If your ears are being ripped and you have to keep the car in the sweet spot, I'd just swap back to stock or sell the current exhuast on Ebay and buy another brand.....

After 1500 miles you will be deaf....? Europipes are the best! I feared as much.....my fault for not doing the research. After 1500 miles, there is no way they are going to exchange it for something else, so I guess I start the fight, sorry, negotiation now. I suppose it shouldn't be a surprise that when they remove 28 lbs of material from a muffler, there must be a trade off. I can't believe Porsche would leave that weight saving on the table if it were as easy as this. Less weight = fewer intricacies inside the muffler like baffles and choke tubes to deal with resonances. Thanks for the info. I tried the Fabspeed but was disappointed with the drone. I currently have Remus and am very happy with the sound and lack of drone.

For those interested in this project, I attempted to do it myself and would not recommend trying it. In addition, the red gauges are too dark and I did not like them once I got them in the car. Without going into all the details, the whole project turned into a mess. I now have a new GT2 silver gauge cluster and love it. My old cluster will be put back to stock one I get it working again (it’s too painful to explain what happened) ok I'll bite, What happened?

is it that the linkage between the cable and the shifter is broken? maybe you need an Evo billet shift linkage?

droning is a severe resonance that typically occurs with aftermarket exhaust systems. The drone is usually apparent at a particular rpm range (2-3K rpm) and is present with windows up and more pronounced with windows open.

I've had the Kumho's also and for the bang for the buck, the other more expensive tires are too hard to justify.... -
