  1. Does anyone know where the yaw sensor is located on a 997-1?
  2. Did a quick search but could not find the flywheel and pressure plate torque specs for a 997.1 GT3, so I'd like to request the values if anyone has them.
  3. Well, the car itself is a Mk1 997 Turbo with some substantial modifications, and the person who owns it would like to place a Turbo S badge just like the 2010 Mk2 Turbo S PDK. If possible, I would like to get the placement specs for the 2010 Turbo S (coupe) in order to help him adhere the badge.

  5. I have a question. I have a 986 from 1997 that does not have M531 (Immobilizer) option code. Does this mean that if I need to replace the DME, I do not need any ipass codes, just swap in a new DME? Thanks.
  6. Hi Loren, it seems like I've got the same info as you. Interestingly, the PET seems to be wrong. I have checked this on my PET too, and it shows even a part number with the VIN Filter on. Unfortunately, there is no sensor on 5 of the GT3/GT3RS I've seen in the last 3 months. Because of this misalignment of information, it has prompted me to post here to seek the answer. I've not been able to sight this sensor on any 997 GT3, but they are plainly obvious on Turbos and Carreras.

Hi Guys, I've looked at many 997 GT3's and I have been unable to locate the suspenion compression angle sensors on the car. 997 Carrera's and Turbo's have a linkage and rotational sensor on the left suspension, Front and Rear, connected to the "coffin arm". GT3's do not. So how does the GT3 measure the heights of the Front and Rear? There are certainly height values to be read when using a PIWIS. Just can't figure out how they get the values from. Anybody able to shed some light?

  10. Do you think it could be a communication error between the switch and the rear control unit? Or communication between the motor and rear control unit? I'm thinking the former is more likely.Currently the sunroof doesn't work and the system shows a 8010 fault, but when cleared it will work again for some time. Eventually it does not respond any longer, until the fault is cleared again.
  11. I checked a different GT3 today, and it seems that the GT3 does not have this sensor like the Carrera models. Does anyone know where the sensors for suspension compression are for a GT3?

  13. I checked and there is no sensor on either the Rear or the Front suspension. I checked, re-checked and triple-checked! I'm very familiar with the sensors that you are referring to, but they are non-existent on this car. Front body computer says Rear Sensor error and Actual Values show 0.00V from that sensor. But the question, where is the sensor? Could it be that the GT3's don't use the lever arm angle sensor on the arms like the Carrera's do? If they don't then is it in a levelling ECU somewhere?
  14. Hi, I've a 2008 997 GT3 that has a headlight adjustment error on the dash, and through the PIWIS diagnostics I have an 8033 Compression Angle Sensor (Rear) error. Indeed the Actual Values of the rear sensor is 0.00V. However, the car physically does not have suspension height angle sensors on the lower arms either front or rear, similar to the Carerra models, even though the PET catalog seems to indicate that it does. So hence, the puzzlement of this problem. I have been told that there are level sensors in the control unit for the Litronics, but I can't find anything conclusive. I do know that the 996 GT3 had levelling sensing control units under the headlight. How does it measure the suspension angles without the sensors on the arms?
