  1. Check your spark plugs and wires, also make sure the air filter is clean, next I would check the fuel pump to make sure its working. Hope that helps.
  2. I think its supposed to be that way since the engine sits in the middle back area. Go to a dealership or look around for other carrera cabs and compare those cars heights to yours.
  3. Definitely find a Durametric code reader to see what codes are coming up. Since the CEL light is up it could be a sensor of some type and since the idle is rough it could be related to a sensor that works with the throtle body, maybe MAF or a sensor control to do with idle, also I would check lines connected to the throtle body for air leaks and I would check spark plug wires, coil packs etc. My last thought is it might be your ECU, but again get a Durametric and scan for codes. Hope this helps.
  4. The OEM Litronics install has a leveling sensor on the drivers side wheel suspension arm and also on the rear drivers side wheel suspension arm, both of these levelers connect to the litronic computer in your front trunk, the computer is on the passenger side of the trunk, the computer has a harness that connects to both Litronics. You may want to check the plugs on your Litronics to make sure they are properly connected and also check the computer to make sure the plugs are all properly plugged in.
  5. The Actuator is for non eGas Boxsters MY 1997 1998 1999. Your 2001 is eGas so its "turned on" using a PST2 or PIWIS tester as Loren mentions. See http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...=cruise+control
  6. I researched boxsters to see which are most reliable and least likely to have repair issues and found that the 1999 and 2003 boxsters are the most reliable, I did this research in October 08. One of the sites where I found what I think is excellent unbiased info was at www.consumerreports.org, if anyone knows of other sites for unbiased car ratings please post. But as stated earlier each individual boxster should be carefully inspected and evaluated. I also found that reading the car computer for engine abuse is a good idea, you dont want an abused engine, a good tool that I bought after buying my car to look at the codes if any, and to check the engine is the Durametric Diagnostic Tool. You can read about the Durametric here at renntech on some other threads. Good Luck. 986Wheelz
