  1. Thanks. I saw that but it is how to change out the whole assembly. I was looking for the actual bearing replacement procedure. I found some this afternoon and it looks like the whole CV joint has to be disassembled. One person refers to the need for a 5 ton press and a special circlip plier. Looks like hours and lots of mess. I gather the best plan is the $379 rebuilt unit. Good news is that it takes under an hour.
  2. I see a lot of bearings for sale on eBay for $71-90 but I regret I can find no actual procedure on the forum for hoe to actually replace the bearing. I see how to remove the shaft which is simple... Just need to know how to separate the shaft at the pivot point... Thanks!
  3. I see a lot of references to the "lower hose." Mine (2005 CTT) is cracked as in the Duo1 and EB_1920 pics above. It's not what I'd call a "lower" hose as it is at the top of the engine bay. The rest below the car is fine. The dealer by parts disgram wants to sell me part 13 which appears to run under the car but the picture doesn't show this one-way valve... I think it's the wrong part and before i wait a week and drop $120... I thought I'd ask the guys who know! Thanks!
  4. Not sure if I am posting this in the right place. Does anyone know the likely culprits of a non-working rear window washer? The pump functions but only a few bubbles and a drip ever come out at the back. I have confirmed that there is no leak under the car (no hose is cut). Before I start tearing into the engine compartment, I'm hoping for guidance. Thanks!
  5. looking for the towing ring (and a source, please)
