  1. First thing I would check would be for water intrusion in either the driver or passanger footwells
  2. Thank you for the reply however I am trying to save myself that labor. I am already doing the water pump and hoping to be able to make my determination without having to continue on to removing the manifold.
  3. I'm in the process of changing the water pump on my '04 CTT and am wondering if I will be able to confirm that the prior owner updated to the metal coolant pipes once it is out? If I was to scope the opening created with the water pump removal, should I see anything that can help me determine if I have the old plastic pipes or the updated metal pipes? Appreciate the support of the forum!
  4. Recently found myself heading down the same road, replacing 986 2-way heated seats with 997 2-way heated seats. Was wondering if anyone found a way to wire the heating element from the 986 car harness into the 997 seat harness?
  5. i thought i saw someone selling the overlays on ebay

    Anyone in 100k mile club

Just clicked over 130,000 over the holidays and celebrated with a IMS upgrade, RMS install and 2nd cat delete. Ready for 2018!
  7. Would appreciate feedback on the correct procedure for removing the needle from the shaft. I've tried the 2 procedures in this thread with no success. Perhaps I'm interpreting the directions too literally but input from anyone who has been able to successfully remove them would be greatly appreciated! Otherwise, great write up and everything has come off with ease up until this point.
  8. I found this guys explanation of O2 diagnostics informative/exceptional. Hopefully it will help you understand what is going on in your situation. https://youtu.be/XQYDwIWS6Ho

Can You Replace Knobs On Cdr220?

You can go direct to http://www.beckerautosound.com ... they still support our radios and offer many ipod upgrades to bring your old unit up to speed....
  11. I had same problem on my 01... just had to keep wrestling with it ! I guess mine had not moved in 10 years so it took some time to get it to break loose!
  12. You may want to consider/call Cabrioworld in Newark NJ....(cabrioworld.com) I have not used them but they advertise in Excellence magazine...there is also a center that advertises on Craigslist. They are out in Parsippany and although they do boats they also advertise that they do any type of convertible/canvas work. Check either in the services area or the "for sale" and type porsche boxster .... I think that is where I saw them advertise. Yes I know, but I removed the top and reinstalled it. Even $600 is better than a new top! I might add Egor just opened a new business after many years working for someone else and Rochester NY is a depressed area. My Boxster is black with 18" sport wheels and it looks like a diffrent car with a new window. Pete

    Modification Of Registry

Loren ~ Would love to be able to network with other local owners.... Would love to see a geographically defined owner group forum, Ex. Northeastern, Southeastern. Mid-West, etc. and by definition the group will be able to identify the states included in the group.
  14. Alot of negative experiences noted on 986forum.com about this EBay seller of parts!!! Sorry to hear about your experience.
