  1. I finally got this reply from Durametric... It's been open over two months now. Not sure if it is really being worked on. I wish I knew whether it was an issue with the Durametric software or my car. Jon
  2. I've been waiting over a month and a half now and emails to Durametric go unanswered. Either they don't know the answer or they don't care. It would be nice if anyone could offer help on this. Jon
  3. They did tell me at Duramtric that they would reset the VINs one time.
  4. I have a Durametric enthusiast kit that I bought to use with my 996 and 987.2. It works fine on the 996. On the 987.2(2011 Boxster) it won't read actual values. The only one that shows anything is RPM that shows a constant reading of 51. Everything else seems to work fine and can read actual readings on the 996. I contacted Durametric support and they had me send them a log. I waited a week and emailed them and got this response... "We have received the log file you submitted and have engaged our engineers. The log shows the car returning a single, non-changing value. This is the reason for the steady display of 51 rpm. We are attempting to learn more about why the car might return such an improbable value. As soon as we have more information we will return to you with details." It's been two more weeks and I've heard nothing from Durametric. Does anyone have any ideas? Is there something on the car that could cause this? I did try pulling the fuse for the instrument cluster but it didn't help. Thanks...
  5. I don't think that is the one I am looking for. I need the torque for the nut that goes on the stud coming out of the motor mount.
  6. Can anyone tell me the correct torque for the 18mm nut that holds the beam to the engine mount? Also, the torque for the two bolts that hold the mount to the car. TIA...Jon
  7. Can someone verify for me that 993-552-573-01-01C-OEM is the correct cover for the left side of the steering column with two holes for the turn signal and OBC stalk? The car is a 2000 996 Cabrio. I'm collecting parts for the OBC mod and this will be the last one. TIA...Jon
  8. Great news! Thanks Richard. Do I need to remove the steering wheel in order to remove add the computer stalk or can it be done while installed? Jon
  9. I have a 2000 996 C2. My computer is already active and i see the temp. I want to add the computer control stalk. I found a three stalk unit here on eBay Since my car has cruise control I wanted to know if I can just remove the computer stalk from the eBay unit and add it to my existing three stalk unit?
  10. You can probably get it redyed for about $100. I just had the interior of my 996 redyed including the center console and it came out great.
  11. The label that lists the options for my car is missing from the hood. Is there any way to reproduce the label so I can replace it on the car?
  12. Hi, I have a '00 996 Cabrio that is Forrest Green. The car was ordered debugged and I would like to put the correct emblem on the car. Should the emblem be Carrera and should it be Chrome, silver or black? Are there any other emblems that the car should have that were original? Thanks!
  13. Hi, I'm about to purchase a used 2011 987-2 and am considering replacing the head unit when I get it. The car doesn't have the Bose option but does have the sound plus package. My question is...can I just replace the head unit and still have the amplifier and speakers in the car continue to function? I know it would be a problem with the Bose system but I'm hoping sound plus will be okay with it. Thanks, Jon
