  1. Finally got it fixed. The controller is on passenger side foot well. Just unplug and no more warning lights.
  2. Just read post on rear wing and learned that control unit is under seat. Does anyone know which seat its under and what it looks like? (picture.) I need to disconnect it to eliminate the warning lights when going over 50mph. Thanks.
  3. I replaced the Electric Wing on my 1992 964 cabriolet with a Whale Tail. My dilemma is the car still thinks I have the Electric Wing, when I reach 50 mph and then slow to a stop. I get the dreaded "Exclamation" warning light. I removed the 15amp fuse to the wing, but no help. Any suggestions. Thanks, Victor
  4. What were the stock wheels for 1992 911 Cabriolet (964.) It currently has 16" Cup wheels. Thanks, Victor
  5. change password

  6. My 99 911 C2 has a traction control switch "TC" next to center air duct. My son has a 2001 911 C2 Cab. He has no TC switch. It's blank. Does this mean he has no traction control or is he just unable to switch it off?
  7. I bought a 2003 911 C2 last year for the purpose of resale. The women I bought it from sent me all the paperwork including an invoice from a Porsche dealer in Colorado that stated a new engine was installed in 2006 at no charge. The engine was overnighted from Germany. When I carfaxed the Vin there was no mention of the new engine installation. Talked to my local Porsche dealer in Dallas and he said Porsche does not like to mention the problems with 996 engines. When you carfax the car your interested in, see if the new engine install is listed. Victor
  8. Replaced ignition switch on my 1999 911 C2 today. Works perfectly. Thanks to Renntech and all of it's members i've done maintenance and repairs myself saving much bucks. Keep up the wonderful work fellas. Victor
  9. I've used the same ramps on my 87 Suburban diesel, and my Lexus RX300 for years. No problem. They have been good to me.
  10. I agree that the car you looked at was overpriced and overvalued. Be patient and try to find one with as may options and lowest miles possible. I was fortunate in that I found a 99 C2 Carrera Tiptronic with 48,00 miles, full leather interior, heated seats, rear wiper, optional wheels, aero kit, etc. for $24,500. last May. Bought on eBay from a private owner in Boston. Not a scratch on the car. I'm happy as a clam. Did a carfax and it checked out perfect. There are more of these nice ones out there. Do your homework and look at as may cars as you can before you pull the trigger. Victor
  11. Pictures of plastic ramps purchased from Western auto store.
  12. 1999 C2 911. After refueling gauge reads a 1/4 tank low. When low fuel lite comes on, I refuel and it only takes around 10 gallons. Can fuel gauge be calibrated electronically or must it be removed from the car? Thanks for any help. Victor
