    Bought a 9 dollar tape adapter. It's just a tape that goes in and plays. It has a headphone jack on it that goes in my iPhone. This 9 dollar Philips tape came from rite-aid .Sounds good and have not had any problems. It even works when I'm talking on the phone. That was my temporary fix untill I could buy a proper head unit from crutchfield .

    Find the bushing, loosen the nut, compress the suspension (best to put it on the ground), then tighten the nut back up with the weight on it ? Maybe ? I know this happend on my Porsche once . I put all new bushings in and tightened up everything while it was still in the air. When I put it on the ground the bushing was tight and twisted under suspension load. To fix it I loosened the nut with it on the ground. Worth a try .

    Sounds kinda like a bushing got tightened up while the suspension was unloaded.

    Nope sounds like a great idea. My boxster is in pretty good condition in the vac line department . But when they do get bad I plan on just replacing them all at one time. I just did this on our old 1994 Isuzu rodeo with 230,000 miles. All of the vac lines were old and hard. It was pretty easy you just take them off one by one and cut a piece the same length . More time consuming than anything. Now the suv runs great. I say go for it. And good luck

    Thanks for the reply. I'll do that. I think I'm going to order a aos and a j tube and maybe a oil filler tube from pelican . Seems like those are the most common to crack and fail from what I've read on this forum. Another thing I noticed was when the car was in the service position engine compartment open .... For one split second as I revved the motor I could hear a pffffffttttt and then it stopped . Not sure this is normal or a vacuum leak.

    Did my fuel filter today, I'm lucky enough to have a friend with a great shop. And after 5 when he closes up we can work on the Boxster. So tonight I put it up on the lift and did the fuel filter. I had no idea the whole bottom of the car was covered with a plastic shroud. The filter I pulled of was original from the factory. 77,000 miles and she got her first fuel filter. It seems to run so much better (I know right-gee you think) . So as we were looking around we found some oil on the passenger side of the motor. Here are some photos what do you guys see and think? AOS problems? or is this a cracked oil filler? Oh and last week I was getting a CEL with a code of P1128 and 1130. I cleaned the MAF and just did the filter. Thanks for any input :thumbup: Seth

    I was wondering if anybody knows how to get a print out of what options my 2000 Porsche boxster has. Or somewhere I can look up the info. The original owner got into an accident and the car had to be repaired the car was fixed darn near perfect except the fact that the sticker under the front hood is gone. I'd really like to find out everything about this our car. Thanks in advance Seth & Aly

    I fixed my heat problem by putting in a new/used climate control computer. I found one for a hundred bucks and now everything works great.

    Hey fellow Boxster people, I have a strange problem with my 2000 Boxster. The climate control is working erratically. When my friend plugged it into a durametric computer it came back with four errors. (hot cold flap fail,blower fail, and two others i don't recall. We checked fuses all of them were good.So basically I get heat all the time not much. Then if I manually turn off the ac button I get heat out of everywhere. Then after a while some doors move and I get full heat. Anyone hear of this and know of a relay somewhere or something that would cause all 4 fails like that? None of the doors work and then they start working sometimes. The car has been sitting for two years. Thanks Seth
