  1. Hi.. doing the clutch in 996 C2 hopefully this weekend and think I need a RMS installation tool! Anyone out there want to sell or rent one? Thx Larry Shaker Heights, OH 216 645 7669
  2. baffling me.. which is easy… when I checked the specs on Excellence, the rotors for both 996 C2 and Boxster S are identical size: 299mm x 24mm. Pads also seem to be same for both cars. So, why arent part #s for the rotors the same? would love to know as I have found some Boxster S rotors, Porsche branded (Textar) for cheap $! Thx… I do run 17" Boxster wheels (narrower than 996 C2 18" wheels) in winter with snows and have no clearance issues at all. Some genius is out there that can help solve this mystery for us! Help! Thx…
  3. So, rear rotors for the 911 are 299mm/24mm. Boxster S rear rotors are the same size. Anyone know why the part #s are different and don't seem to be interchangeable? Part # for Boxster S rotor is 996 352 403 01. 996 rear rotors are 996 352 401 04? Thx for any help or insight!
  4. Need a code for my CDR-220 Model: 4462 Serial #: 150 869 17 Thx!!!
  5. Would love a code next time you're here Loren! Thx…
  6. I am swapping out the Kenwood installed by a prior owner with the OEM Becker CDR-220 and don't have the code. From the side of the Becker unit: Model # BE 4462 Serial # 15086917 Manufacture Date 22/01 Thank you!
  7. Well, that was a little harsher than my response, but you pretty much summed up what's going through my brain. i'm used to the audi forums, where folks are not as polished and polite as you are on this forum... maybe after I find my 996 (currently drive a very well sorted stage 3 2001 Audi S4 Avant) i'll learn to tone it down a little...
  8. seriously, what a completely goofy idea... sounds like it's important to you that your son be "cool", how ridiculous... i'd rather know my son was "safe" than "cool". the fact that you'd even consider a 911 for a 16 yr old kid is irresponsible. but, hey, to each his own... you and Diddy - takes all kinds to make this world go around...
