  1. Massive wear edge on rotor can cut into new pad and then into wear sensor. I only use OEM brake pads as I think they have the best overall braking performance.
  2. Have you checked the fuel pumps for volume and operating pressure? Sometimes misfire codes can lead you down the garden path, you have misfire codes for certain cylinders but it might actually be the paired cylinder at fault. Example would be a four cylinder engine with firing order of 1-3-4-2. Cylinder 1 and 4 are common to each other as is 3 and 2. Engine fault code P0304 but actually cylinder #1 is at fault..... just something to be aware of. Also carefully inspect the ground path and wiring harness for the coils on the bank in question. Age/Heat can deteriorate the harness and cause issues. Can you monitor Mass Air Flow Sensor with VAGCOM?
  3. Replace the EVAP purge valve located on the drivers side of the engine (left), it has a long plastic tube that runs along the valve cover and connects at the throttle body. It often causes an intermittent vacuum leak and draws in hydrocarbons from the charcoal canister tank. The part has been updated and only takes a few minutes to change out.
  4. The locking mechanism that engages the steering wheel lock fails which is controlled via a module operating a small electrical motor which is all part of the steering column. A new unit must be installed and coded by a OPC or someone with the correct scan tool/software. I've tried to install used units with no success. Porsche isn't the only manufacturer with systems like this, it's the norm these days and many other makers have many more problems with their hardware than Porsche.
  5. The vent valve ( #20) is common and is replaced by a updated part.
  6. Have the freon level checked, unfortunately you need to measure the recovered amount to know if it's low or not.
  7. I have reset the reminders early on my vehicles without issue several times. The only problem I've ever encountered is with the laptop not being plugged into the mains, they slow down just running on battery and sometimes it doesn't reset in the Cayennes.
  8. I'd start by checking every electrical connection near where the work was completed and make sure it's all seated correctly.
  9. The only thing I'd like to add is in regards to the engine stall, have you cleaned the throttle body and reset the throttle body adaption after a cleaning?
  10. Sounds like a battery fault. How did you test the battery to determine it's good? The early production first generation had a problem with the alternator cable, your vehicle doesn't suffer from that issue.
  11. PCM is just a head unit, it will have all the buttons but you need the corresponding modules much as phone, nav, sat radio for it to function.
  12. Check fuses then inspect the wiring to the sensor, if everything seems in order replace the sensor.
  13. You'll need to return to the garage that completed the repair. I'll guess your assumptions are correct and they've wired it incorrectly.
  14. What spark plugs were installed? Maybe it's just a matter of a cold fouled plug? Where they torqued correctly?
